Great Friends Great Memories

So as soon as I saw the Simon's Says Stamp with these great diagonal lines I just knew I had to have it and not only did I have to have it. I knew exactly what scrapbook page I wanted to create with it.    Here is my guy with his friends at a Jethro Tull concert.   I love these photos and I wanted to make sure I captured on a page.    The challenge was finding masculine elements for the card.   I decided to keep it simple and stick with the stars and the end result makes me happy.

The designer series paper for the background comes from the retired Urban Underground.   The frame comes from a Momenta scapbook kit.    The stickers and alphabet come from my craft stash.    The stars come from the Mini Treat bag framelits and Stitched Shapes.    Enamel dots finish the bad.    The stars were punched from Watermelon Wonder card stock to match up the enamel dots.

Family

One thing I have learned is you can never have too many pictures.   Don't be afraid to be snap happy.     In the past, we were so limited on our picture taking, we only had 24-36 exposures, we couldn't see the pictures or how they would turn out until we developed the roll.   Even then we threw out more than we kept because they didn't come out.    So when you have a couple good pictures you treasured them.    That was the case with my guy.   We went through so many boxes and the amount of pictures we found of him and his family were limited.      So when I found 2 good pictures of the 4 of them, I put them together on scrapbook page.     I love the end result.   Some of the products on the page, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Basic Black card stock, Heart to Heart punch, Stitched Shapes framelits, So Detailed Thinlits, The Paper Studio stickers, Corner Rounder, Baker's Twine, Button and Enamel Dots.

My Guy

This is one of my favorite pictures of my guy.    When you find the right products, the page comes together quickly.   I used some military stickers from The Paper Studio, some crumb cake card stock, silver enamel dots and some stamps from 7 gypsies.

My Hero

I am always so happy when I find time to scrapbook.   Here is my guy's Navy photo.     He was so young in this picture.   He got to travel the world and serve our country.   I am so proud of him.   The page came together quickly with a Pebbles paper pack, We R Memory Keepers chipboard and K&Company stickers.

Rainbows and Unicorns

I always had a thing for unicorns and rainbows.    Now it seems like a trend.   Everywhere you turn around there is a unicorn.     I first started by finding rainbow paper that I loved for the background.    I decided from a stash of TPC Studio paper I have had forever.   Next came the unicorn and rainbow set from Avery Elle.   I colored in the images with copic markers, Stampin' Write markers and Tombow markers.     Some sequins and rhinestones finish the card off.

Snapchat birthday

So my niece is growing up.  No more cartoon characters, no more toys.   I wasn't sure what I was going to get her and never mind what kind of birthday card should I make.    Then it came to me, why not make a card with her favorite app and a phone.   Hello.    I went onto snapchat and did a print screen of her avatar and printed.     Then I made a punch art phone using circle punches, corner rounders and the word wind.     Then with a My Favorite Things stamp set.   I used the die and stamped some hashtag phrases to finish it off.    I have to say the card was a hit.    Now what will I do for next year's card!  lol

Live Laugh & Love

So when I saw this designer series paper from American Crafts I just knew I had to have it.   Love the beautiful colors of the fall foliage.     It just makes me smile.   I decided to make it the focal point of the card and cut into squares and make it the background.    The Live Love Laugh is from the retired On Your Birthday stamp set.     It was heat embossed and the die cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits.     Punched and die cut leaves finish off the card with twine and a button.    The leaves come from Martha Stewart and Fiskars punches and the little leaf is a die I have from Lil' Inker Designs.

Half Full

So how great is this wine set that Stampin' Up! released in the holiday mini.    I didn't even think we needed one until I saw it in the mini.    This is one of my favorites.      The wine bottles were stamped and colored in with Chameleon markers (burgundy) and the Stampin' Write Markers (crumb cake).   The sentiment comes from a Skipping Stones Design.   The cheers comes from the Greetings Framelits.    The designer series paper is the Urban Underground from the Occasions Mini.

Live Laugh Love

This has to be my most favorite card, so worth the fussy cutting of the sunflowers from the Painted Autumn designer series paper.

The watercolor background was created with aqua painters and Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink refills.   The sentiments come from the Layering Love stamp set.     The Leaves in the background come from the Merry Cafe stamp set.     The leaves with the florals come from the Painted Harvest stamp set.    The designer series paper strip comes from coffee break.

Thankful for You Bear

So I had to play a little to finally get this card to the end result.  I think I ended up stamping and taking taking elements off and then back on.    In the end I am happy with the results.

The background was watercolored with aqua painters and Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink refills.

The sunflower, leaves and pumpkins were fussy cut from the Painted Autumn designer series paper.

The thankful sentiment comes from the Painted Harvest stamp set and the bear lastly comes from the retired Thankful Forest Friends.

The strip of beautiful woodgrain paper comes from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.

Merry Cafe

Stampin' Up! must have read my mind with all the great coffee sentiments in the Holiday Mini especially the Merry Cafe stamp set.   I know they are going to be a hit with my customers at the Coffee Shop.    Thank you Stampin' Up!    I started with the coffee cup and sponged on some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink.   I love how it came out along with the leaves.    The pumpkins I cut out and layered from the Painted Autumn stamp set.   The rest was layers of Soft Suede and designer series paper.   Love the end result.

Love Sunflowers

One of my absolute favorites from the Holiday Mini is the sunflower set called Painted Harvest along with the coordinating designer series paper called Painted Autumn.

The colors I used were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke.
I love that there is a coordinating punch for the leaves.  I have seen such fun ideas with punch and I am looking forward to creating my own.

I made some thanksgiving cards with the beautiful sentiment from the set saying gather together and give thanks and the Happy Birthday on the second set of cards come from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

4 days to Halloween

So this has to be one of the first years, I have barely made any Halloween projects.   I hope I can make it up to all of you by getting some scrapbook pages in, but we will have to see if inspiration and motivation come together in the next couple of months.

Here the great Pick Your Potion from the Stampin' Up! Festive Phrases.    I love all the great image/sentiments in this set.   I can't wait to play with the elf.

I decided to pair up the standard black and white Halloween colors with the beautiful green, orange and purple.    The background was made with sponging on Distress Oxide ink and masking with post its.     The colors used were Twisted Citron, Spiced Maralade and Seedless Preserves.     The additional stamped elements came from other Stampin' Up! set, Balloon Celebration (stars), Tee-Hee-Hee (bat) and Happy Scenes (cobweb).

The spiderweb designer series paper was last year's paper called Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper.      The fun circle elements and black lace came from craft stash.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins please

The sentiment from The Project Bin's New Leaf, "autumn leaves and pumpkins, please!" sentiment called out to me.    Just so fun.   I have so say I love the fall season.   Love the beautiful colors and weather.

The pumpkins come from the beautiful new Stampin' Up! paper called Painted Autumn.   I love how the pumpkins can be cut out and layered and made a focal point for a project.   The Stitched Shapes die gives dimension.   I knew I needed Autumn Leaves so I choose a sheet from the designer series paper pack from Jen Hadfield, Warm & Cozy that worked perfectly.
